Idaho River Report

January 17, 2008.

Curt, our operations manager for our Idaho river trips, just gave us some good news… The snow pack is doing very well.  December was over 100% of normal in most areas except the south where the Owyhee drainage is.  Since January 1, the storm track has hammered the area, especially the Owyhee basin so all are above 118% of normal, including the Owyhee. If this pace keeps up, it will be a big year.  The bottom line:  this is an excellent start to a potential end of six years of dry conditions.
